What role is the role of reflection in service learning? Reflection is a key component of service learning; In fact, reflection is the connection between the service and learning. The reflection is the intentional consideration of an experience with special learning objectives. The assumption is that the Community service does not necessarily learn in and by itself. Reflection activities offer the bridge between community service activities and the academic content of the course. Reflection activities direct the student's attention to new interpretations of events and provide a means by which the Community service can be studied and interpreted, so that a text is read and studied as a deeper understanding.

When should the reflection take place? Reflection activities can be installed before, during and after the service experience. Reflection activities Before serving the service, the students expect to expect their service experience and what assumptions they bring into the situation. Reflection during and after the service experience help students the actual result of their experience in terms of course content.

How should reflection sessions be structured? For effective reflection results should be explicitly and precisely specified. If results are too wide, it may be difficult to develop adequate reflection activities and develop appropriate evaluation procedures. Reflection questions can lead the students to understanding themselves, the population they serve, the social issue that operates their service activity, and the relationship between the service and the academic content of the course.
